Setup Procedure: Step by Step

To setup the Progress Tracker ASP Version:

1. Create and test your Progress Tracker application without using ASP features. See the Progress Tracker Developer Help for details.

2. Copy your database to a web server.

3. Modify the connection string in both progressTrackerRead.ASP and progressTrackerWrite.ASP. You can edit the files in any text editor such as Notepad, or you can use a Web authoring program such as Microsoft FrontPage.

4. If you want to modify the date format, modify progressTrackerFormat.ASP and the Session.LCID.

5. Copy the three Progress Tracker ASP pages to the Web server. These files are:

• progressTrackerFormat.ASP

• progressTrackerRead.ASP

• progressTrackerWrite.ASP

6. Use the Progress Tracker Administrator to change your database settings to the ASP option. See the Progress Tracker Administrator Help for details.
