Creating a Certificate
You can create a certificate for students to print or view when they've completed a module.
To create a certificate:
Copy the catalog Certificate page to your module book.
You can use the Certificate page as is or customize it as you choose. The following fields are expected to be on the certificate and are automatically populated when it is shown:
Module name (field "module")
Student name (field "name)
Date (field "date)
Score (field "examScore")
If you have fewer chapters in your module than there are check box buttons, you can hide or delete the extra buttons.
If you have more chapters in your module than there are check box buttons on the Certificate, you can add more buttons. Follow the existing naming convention for the new buttons ("chapter 1", "chapter 2", etc.).
There are three ways to let users access the certificate:
Activate
the module's "Certificate" setting from the Progress
Tracker Administrator. This will cause a Certificate button to show in the "Student Information"
dialog box (use the Sudent
Information button to provide users access to the "Student Information" dialog box).
Copy
the catalog's Print
Certificate button into your module book.
Send
the prog_printCertificate message from OpenScript.
All of these methods let the user choose to either view or print the certificate.
